A clean, lasting interior paint job is mostly preparation. The actual coating is the easy part — the work that makes it last happens before the first can opens.
Protecting your home
We move and cover furniture, lay drop cloths on floors, tape off trim, switch plates, and anything that shouldn't be painted, and seal off vents. A tidy, protected home is the foundation of clean work.
Patching and drywall repair
Nail pops, settlement cracks, anchor holes, and dings get patched and sanded smooth. For ceilings, we blend texture so repairs disappear. This is the difference between paint that looks fresh and paint that shows every old flaw.
Sanding and cleaning
Glossy surfaces get lightly sanded for adhesion, and every surface gets a wipe-down to remove dust and oils so the finish coat bonds properly.
Priming where it matters
Primer goes down on patched areas, stained walls, drastic color changes, and any bare substrate. It blocks stains, evens the finish, and keeps the topcoat color true.
Cut-in and finish
Trim and edges are cut in by hand first, then walls are rolled for even coverage. On interiors we typically work top-down — ceilings first, then walls, then trim — so drips never land on a finished surface.
